"News
at Hawk"
Hawk has played a role in the
introduction of the 500 Smith & Wesson doing proto type work
on jacketed bullets for the heavy
handgun.
Despite our extensive bullet selection we continue to
expand even further, recently adding 32-20, 32 Remington, and spitzers in
.429 for popular weights in 44 Mag and 444 Marlin chamberings.
Reports so far indicate they are great bullets in single shot
pistols and bolt rifles.
Most hunters with .54 caliber muzzleloaders use 44 or 45 caliber
handgun bullets when they load with a sabot. Lets face it, if you are using a 54
instead of a 50 caliber, you should use the larger bore to your advantage. The 54 caliber
muzzleloaders can use a sabot to shoot .500 diameter bullets, originally intended for the
50AE handgun. The problem is the 50AE bullets are only made from 300 to 350 grains while
the 54 caliber guns potential goes quite higher. We have added weights up to 450
grains and the flat point design. Also a 400 grains x .035 jacketed flat point for the
largest game and the 44 and 45 caliber selection now includes a suitable .035 jacketed
bullet for all muzzleloaders.
Muzzleloaders now have a broader
selection of sabot combinations to choose from. The addition of
sabots for .458 and .475 caliber bullets lets hunters select hunting bullets for the new generation of fast shooting muzzleloaders
and use on the most dangerous game. Our selection of .458 and
.475 bullets is the best in the industry.
Increased popularity in the .475 Wildey Magnum led us to introduce a
.475 bullet made specifically for Auto loading pistols.
Wildey is now chambering for the 44 Auto Mag and Hawk is now
making 44 pistol bullets having a nose designed specifically for
feeding flawlessly in the auto.
In all the handgun
calibers, we now carry a .035 jacketed bullet for use on dangerous and heavily boned
animals. In the past these bullets were custom orders and now as a listed item, you can
purchase as little as one box.
